Of late, I've been spending a lot of time with my mommy because I see her only every 3 months. I used to take things like having my laundry done or my dinner prepared for granted. When she's not in town and I'd want a simple conversation with her, I need to call her at a time she's available to talk. It was hard at first but I'm getting used to her not being around sometimes. The reason she's been flying back to Hong Kong so much is because my Grandma had a stroke in recent years. It left half of her body paralysed, hence she needs constant care and attention. My mom's been flying back to spend lots of time with her. So nowadays, I'm on the lookout to rent a place in Hong Kong, so I could stay over for a couple of months as well. This is what flexi hours is about, isn't it? If I could spend more time with my family, why not? Housing in Hong Kong is way too small and I am convinced I can't get work done as long as I live with my gramps. Personal space is not in the dictionary in Hong Kong. If you know of any place that offers reasonable rental rates, do let me know!
