One thing I enjoy about Christmas is gatherings of all sorts - with friends, family and it's a perfect excuse to snuggle up to your boyfriend while enjoying a glass of wine or two. Bernard and Desiree put together a really good barbecue with the most awesome steak in the world. Alex brought a couple bottles of red wine. Karl and Debby brought pasta. Fiona brought the dessert. As for Bryan and I, we brought imported beer (from China). It was a wonderful night of chatting, playing of Monopoly Deal and with Desiree's pets (she's got 2 doggies, a kitty and an intellectual frog who made it's own toilet in his crib). Wish such dinners could happen more and I probably should volunteer to plan the next one.
