I booked a Deluxe Room at Piccolo Hotel in Kuala Lumpur for Bryan's birthday. Either we were really lucky or their service is superb, but they gave us the Executive Suite instead and it's just so lovely. The room is really huge and the king size bed was so sleep inducing. We spent our days eating street food, chilling in our big room, watching movie or singing KTV. On our last day, we spent it at the Berjaya Times Square theme park. I think I'm getting older for I'm not really good with thrill rides now. I used to be super enthusiastic but now it just makes me want to throw up like crazy. Today is Bryan's official birthday. We spent the early noon having dim sum with his family. Then we went to Ronny's cafe opening. It's called Tree-D, located at 7 Boon Tat Street near Amoy (opposite Bee Heong Restaurant). If you like bubble tea, go give it a try. I tried the jasmine green tea with honey today. It's as good as Koi's with loads of honey.
After an hour or so playing Nintendo Wii at Cineleisure, we had dinner at Brauhaus at Novena Square for German food and beer. It's beginning to be one of our favourite hunts. The owner, Michael, used to aimlessly travel around the world because he didn't know what to do with his life. He worked at a German restaurant in Japan in his younger days and picked up culinary skills, as well as experiences in running a dining place. Since he has travelled all around the world, he had made many friends. So he started importing all manners of beer to Singapore and he's the first guy to bring in Erdinger to our country. It's interesting how our lives lead us to where we are. Anyways, the food is great and the company is awesome. All in all, it was a great night celebrating Bryan turning older, and hopefully wiser.
